Environmentally Friendly Drink Brand (uni)
The project was to design a drinks brand with an environmentally friendly packaging design. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest problems of the modern era, and drinks companies such as Coke are the biggest producers of plastic waste, so I wanted to create an energy drinks brand without the massive amount of plastic waste.
This project was inspired by a dissertation I had written on plastic pollution/recycling, and how I discovered how bad the plastic problem really is.
The first part of the project was to design a logo for the Wave brand; these were the iterations the design went through.
After choosing the best design, I did minor refinements and made a brand guideline for the logo.
Once I created the brand logo, I developed the packaging next through sketches, digital sketches, and 3D mockups. The design I went with has a fully cardboard exterior with a pouch inside that carries the liquid and a metallic cap. The reason it was chosen over the other was because of its unique brutalist design, which audiences found the most interesting.
My final stage of the project was to create a small advertisement to display the new brand, which can be found at the very top.
